Urban Reload Best Guns: M4 vs LMG for Real PvP Fights
Players rank the LMG and the M4 as Urban Reload's best PvP guns. Here's the observed fire-rate and damage difference that should decide between them — and where to get both.
Quick answer
In real PvP fights, players currently name two guns: the LMG and the M4. The observed difference that should decide between them is fire rate and feel — the LMG “does shoot faster,” the M4 “just sprays” at a super-high RPM — plus the headshot damage you can check yourself in game, where a test between the pair came back at 50 vs 60 damage per head.
- Both top guns are a massive upgrade over the starter purple AK.
- Two players agree the LMG shoots faster; the M4 sprays at a very high rate.
- The 50 vs 60 headshot figures were observed in game, but which gun deals which number was not confirmed.
- The game is in beta and was updated the morning of these sessions, so recheck the ranking after every update.

The guns worth taking into a real fight
Players actively fighting in Urban Reload's beta PvP name two guns: the LMG and the M4. One M4 user calls it “literally the best or the second best gun in the game” and says he's “literally clapping people” with it, while another calls the M4 “deadly” and “elite” and timestamps the ranking the same way: “Yesterday when I was playing, they only had the LMG and the M4 as best guns.” That two-gun list is the whole supported answer right now — no other gun was named in these fights. If you're new to the game's fights altogether, the beginner guide covers the basics.
M4 vs LMG (M60): the observed difference
Comparison
| Gun | Fire rate and feel in fights | In-game headshot check |
|---|---|---|
| M4 | Called deadly and elite. It “just sprays,” and the player holding it notes “the RPM on this is super high.” | Half of the observed 50 vs 60 per-head pair — the transcript never pins which number is the M4’s. |
| LMG (M60) | Two players separately agree it “does shoot faster”; one keeps feeling he dies to LMGs more, without being able to explain it. | The other number of the 50 vs 60 pair, likewise not attributed to a specific gun. |
The observed trade-off is fire rate and feel, not a verdict. If you want the faster stream of bullets, that's the LMG, which two players separately called faster; if the high-RPM spray suits the way you already aim, that's the M4 its users keep winning with. The tiebreaker the players themselves used is one you can repeat: after asking “is there a way I can check that?”, one tested damage in game and got 50 per head from one gun and 60 from the other. Because which number belonged to which gun was never confirmed, run that same check on the copies you can actually get before you commit money.
The upgrade that matters first: getting off the purple AK
The purple AK is the gun you start off with, and the top guns matter most as an escape from it. A player who switched from the purple AK to the M4 calls it “a massive game difference” — and his review of the starter is blunt: “AK is so bad.” Another player's rolled gun “shoots way faster than the AK and it has way more accuracy for sure.” No equivalent gap was described between the M4 and the LMG themselves; the decisive change these players describe is leaving the starter, then picking between the two top guns on feel.
Where to get the M4 and the LMG
Both routes to the top guns were observed directly. The gun store sits underneath the train track — look at the sky for the symbols and follow the gun store marker. Inside, it sells weapon cases and attachments, and it's also where you equip the attachments you've gotten so far. Guns also come from weapon-case rolls: one player unlocked his “on my first roll. It's like the third rarest.” The store's stock and case contents can change across updates, so expect the selection to move.
One LMG-specific check before you spend: the store's LMG and the weapon crate's LMG share the same name, M60, but appeared in different colors — one purple (“This is not even legendary”) and one that “shows as legendary.” The players comparing them could not confirm whether the two versions perform identically, so treat that as untested and verify in your own session. For the rest of the arsenal, see the full guns list, or how to loot guns if you'd rather not pay.
The M4 magazine: wiki figure vs what you see in play
The wiki lists the M4 as a rifle with a 30-round magazine in its beta street-and-plaza combat setup, and the ammunition display pairs the rounds currently in the magazine with that gun configuration's capacity. In live play the number can differ — an M4 user mid-fight reported “I got 45 bullets now” — so read the display for the configuration you're actually holding rather than assuming the setup figure.
The mythic guns don't change this yet
Five newly announced guns are all mythical tier, but “they're not in game yet, but they're coming soon.” Until they ship, they can't be compared against the M4, LMG or AK.
Every comparison here has an expiry date
This ranking rests on a moving beta version. The game was updated the morning of the sessions these observations come from, and the players expect churn: “All it takes is one update to mess up the game,” says one, while another is saving his money “until that update comes out.” Treat the two-gun ranking, the stat figures and the store's stock as current-beta information, and recheck after every balancing patch or weapon release.
Aim decides more than the gun does
The same players who rank these guns insist aim outweighs stats: “If your aim is bad, it don't matter if the gun has like no recoil. If you're not hitting no shots, it doesn't matter,” and “If you don't know how to aim, you're just dead... You got to know how to move.” Pick the gun whose feel fits your aim, then build the skill — the gun setups page covers the rest.
