Urban Reload Beginner Guide: How to Start and What to Do First
Learn how to start Urban Reload: set up your hotbar, follow the sky symbols to the farm zone and gun store, earn NPC cash, and loot guns in fights.
Quick answer
Pick a gun you already own from the bottom hotbar, check your supplies, then follow the floating sky symbols: farm the NPC zone for cash, loot the guns of players you defeat, and spend your earnings at the gun store. Because you lose your weapons when you die, your whole first session is one repeated loop: fight, loot, earn, upgrade.
- Select a firearm you already have from the bottom hotbar and check its ammunition display.
- Identify your supplies, such as a MEDKIT, before entering a fight.
- Look up: floating sky symbols mark the gun store and the farm zone.
- Farm-zone NPCs spawn 10 at a time, only for you — kill them and collect money from their bodies.
- Losing a fight means losing your weapons, so loot guns from the enemies you take down.
- Buy guns, roll weapon cases and equip attachments at the gun store.

The main objective, in one paragraph
Urban Reload is a tactical PvP city game, labeled beta, where you fight other players in gunfights, lose your weapons when you are defeated, loot guns from enemies you take down, and farm NPCs to grind cash. The cash feeds back into your arsenal: it buys guns, weapon cases and attachments at the gun store, and the leaderboard outside it ranks kills, KD and money. Keep that loop in view — fight, loot, earn, upgrade — and no single death derails you.
Before your first fight: hotbar and menus
- Select a firearm. Open the bottom hotbar, choose a gun you already have, and check its ammunition display. Selecting another item changes what your character holds.
- Identify your supplies. Know what is in your hotbar before you enter a fight — for example, whether you are carrying a MEDKIT.
- Learn menu access. On the keyboard interface, when the ALT prompt is shown, hold ALT to release the cursor, then click a menu button. The Shop entry uses a shopping-cart icon on the right, next to the labeled Crew and Shop buttons.
Hotbars look different depending on your setup: some label slots 1–5, others show L1/R1 prompts at the ends. Identify items by their icons rather than by slot numbers.
The clip below shows the same setup live: the hotbar along the bottom, the Shop and Effects buttons on the right, and the cash total in the top right.

Getting around: read the sky
Navigation is simple: look up. Floating symbols in the sky label the key locations.
- Gun store — sits under the train track. A leaderboard outside shows kills, KD and money; inside you will find weapon cases, attachments, and the place to equip the attachments you have collected.
- Farm zone — its own symbol marks the NPC farming area, near a tunnel at the bottom of the map.
Your money total is shown in the top right of the screen, so you can watch every payout land.

The farm zone: your reliable first income
The farm zone is where a new player should earn first. Bot NPCs spawn 10 at a time, and they spawn individually for each player — only you can see and fight yours. They chase you, so keep moving, gun them down, and collect the money from their bodies. Then do it again: you can repeat the loop for as long as you want, with no one else competing for your targets.
One player collected about 8,000 cash early in a farming session and described farming as the way to make money in Urban Reload, far more than PvP — and, with the beta brand new, called it the only farming spot he knew at the time. Street fights: what you lose, what you take
PvP is the other half of the loop, and the stakes are the weapons in your hands. The practical rhythm: take down an enemy, loot their gun to build your equipment options, and fight again. Two details matter before your first duel:
- Downed is not dead. A downed character lies on the ground with a red cross marker and may still have a small amount of health. With ammunition remaining you can keep firing to finish the job, and the kill feed — which names the killer and the defeated player — confirms it counted.
- Payouts show in green. Cash from player kills appears as a green notification alongside the kill feed. Amounts vary: one observed rifle kill paid 2,500 cash, and a 1K cash reward was seen near downed targets. Treat those as individual examples, not fixed rates.
When you are hurt but still able to act, select your MEDKIT, use it, and let the healing progress finish. Do not over-read the MEDKIT +100 prompt: it is the displayed healing amount, not a guaranteed net gain. One observed treatment raised health from 23 to 100, a gain of 77, and consumed the kit.

First-session problems, fixed
Problems and fixes
The cursor is stuck on my weapon and I cannot click the menus.
On the keyboard interface, the cursor stays locked until you release it.
Suggested responseHold ALT while the ALT prompt is shown to release the cursor, then click the menu button — the Shop uses a shopping-cart icon on the right.
I died and my gun is gone.
Losing your weapons on defeat is the game's core risk rule.
Suggested responseLoot a replacement from the next enemy you take down, or farm the NPC zone for cash and buy a gun at the gun store.
I cannot find the farm zone or the gun store.
Navigation runs through the sky symbols — look up, not around.
Suggested responseFind the floating symbols overhead: the gun store sits under the train track, and the farm zone is near the tunnel at the bottom of the map.
My MEDKIT healed less than 100.
MEDKIT +100 is the displayed healing amount, not a guaranteed net gain — one observed treatment restored 77 health, from 23 to 100, and consumed the kit.
Suggested responseUse it while you are injured but still able to act, and let the healing progress finish.
Turning cash into firepower at the gun store
The gun store is where the loop pays off:
- Buy guns. Different guns are bought here, so farm-zone cash converts directly into new firepower. Browse the guns list and the best guns before you spend.
- Roll weapon cases. Case results are random, so match a case's reward category to the kind of item you want before rolling. After the roll, YOU GOT identifies the awarded item and NEW can mark a new reward — the items scrolling past are just candidates, not winnings.
- Equip attachments. This is also where you equip the attachments you have collected; the gun setups page has ideas for pairings.
One expectation to set before you hunt for freebies: there were no active working codes for Urban Reload as of an October 2026 check. If a video promises free cash, check our codes page instead — it tracks what actually works.
Where to go next
With a first session behind you, the long game opens up. Crews let you dominate the streets together, and the global leaderboards — kills, KD and money, posted right outside the gun store — give you a standing target. Keep the loop running: fight, loot, earn, upgrade.
